The Girls Basketball Program at Traverse City Christian School is founded on Christian principles. Our "basketball family" is very important to us. It takes a lot of hard work by a lot of people to run a successful program. We value each member of our TEAM!
"People have to understand what my game is. It's not all about numbers. There's a bigger picture here. I don't create off the dribble. I rely on my teammates; my role is to set screens and get rebounds."
--Rebecca Lobo
"Ask not what your teammates can do for you. Ask what you can do for your teammates."
--Magic Johnson
"To all the positions, I just bring the determination to win. Me being an unselfish player, I think that can carry on to my teammates. When you have one of the best players on the court being unselfish, I think that transfers to the other players."
--LeBron James
“I was excited to start playing. I had a really good time in training camp and I thought we would do well but it is a lot faster up tempo game and a lot more physical. I think just the confidence the coaches and my teammates have in me. In practice for them to be reinforcing for me to be confident, I think that (my play) is a credit to my teammates and the coaching staff.”
--Marissa Coleman, about her first game in the WNBA when she led her team in scoring.
"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships." --Michael Jordan
“My teammates recognized the mismatch I was in and they kept going to me. That's what got me my points.”
--Aisha Jefferson, Michigan State University
